GRPC http headers

I'm currently implementing an auth system using http headers. But I'm not able to understand how to access the http request from a service and/or from a middleware. Can someone explain if it is possible?

Note: I considered using metadata but the protobuff doc say that has a limited size so probably it is not smart to use them for jwt tokens
