Question

I have download the solution, ran npm install then packaged the solution. When I add to my dev tenant the web part will upload but when I try to enable the web part will not. Any ideas?

@louiserh could you provide a bit of more context to the issue you are having.
From what I understand you:

1. run npm install, gulp bundle --ship, gulp package-solution --ship
2. you then add it the some (most probably tenant app catalog)
3. and then it is not clear.

...do you try to add it to a page and it fails? or does it fail when adding it to an app catalog? Could you provide some screenshot?

Thank you for your response.

1. Downloaded package and opened in VS code
2. ran npm install, gulp bundle --ship, gulp package-solution --ship
3. Uploaded to app catalog

4. I clicked enable app, this message shows but the app remains disabled.

If you switch to classic mode of this list with spfx packages on the app catalog, then you should be able to see the error message in one of the columns. Now I am over the phone so it's hard to provide any more guidance but I will do that tomorrow morning so that you may do the same on your tenant and check for more context that might explain the issue

@louiserh I checked on my side by downloading this sample using SPFx Toolkit + npm install + publish task (gulp bundle + package-solution), Then deployed to the app catalog and seems to be fine

The error you are having indicates you used more than once the same webpart id for different webparts in a single package. Which is really strange as this solution has only a single webpart 🤔 with this manifest file

In the project structure using VS Code can you check how many times the d1ba5a4d-dea3-4eb2-a8c8-c652f58cbc39 guid is present in your project? Should be used only once in the webpart manifest
can you paste over the contents of the package-solution.json
