I confirm, when I encounter this problem, it's only a matter of typo error on the site url

double triple quadruple quintuple check the SITE URL. I think the initial root cause was related to incorrect site URL used. The Connect-PnPOnline doesn't really throw any error if the site URL was incorrect.

When connecting to one of the sites on my companies tenant, and using get-pnpapp or get-pnpsite (for example), I am getting an error "Unexpected response from the server. The content type of the response is "text/plain; charset=utf-8". The status code is "NotFound".
Wasn't getting this before yesterday afternoon but now had it yesterday PM and today. I have tried connecting to the site then running get-pnpsite and still fails.
Running on PS 7.5.1 Core
Pnp.PowerShell 3.1.0
