Grant-PnPAzureADAppSitePermission Failing with latest version of PnP Powershell

Hi All I'm running PowerShell 7.3.3 and PnP PowerShell 2.1.1. I've run Grant-PnPAzureADAppSitePermission many times in the past using an older version of Powershell, but now with the 2.1.1 version I get the following error:

Grant-PnPAzureADAppSitePermission: {"error":{"code":"invalidRequest","message":"Invalid request","innerError":{"date":"2023-04-19T21:22:33","request-id":"[GUID]","client-request-id":"[GUID]"}}}

Before I create an Issue, does anyone have an idea as to what the problem may be?
