Whenever you open an incident, you should always provide the version of HA you are using, and for custom integrations, the version of the custom integration as well. When you tell me those version numbers, I'll probably be able to tell you why you are seeing this.

The way it works is, the integration calculates the value as a float. It also suggests the display precision should be zero decimal places. It's up to HA core code, and how you have the entity configured (specifically, the "Display precision" setting), to determine how the value is displayed. It's also up to HA core code to decide what to set the entity's state to (based on the raw float value calculated by the integration.)

In the example you show above, the state is a float value (in scientific notation.) I.e., it's basically 0.00000000868.... HA decides to set the state value that way. It also decides to display it (in most other places) as "0".

So, as far as I know, the integration is doing the correct thing.

What exactly are you using for your automation's trigger? Can you share the YAML code of your automation?
