Boxes demo

Hi. I’m looking for the boxes demo that was being shared on Twitter way back when, built with react-three-fiber. Looked like this

and occasionally had a baby yoda or something behind it. I can’t find it in examples anymore; does anyone know where it went?

Thank you so much! It even has the baby yoda 🥰 I regret to inform you I’m doing a demo based on it, but I don’t tweet so you won’t see any screenshots of your code with criticisms on twitter 😓 Maybe nothing will be published at all, just experimenting haha.

Maybe I’m overstepping my bounds but I got the demo working for my framework! I don’t have any idea if this is good or bad performance but it runs at 60 fps up to about ~2200 boxes on Chrome on my poor Macbook Air.

I also implement a poor man’s version of object linking in the renderer (https://github.com/brainkim/crank-three-boxes/blob/master/src/index.tsx?ts=2#L8-L18) as I suggested in this other issue, where we use id/hrefs to reuse geometries and materials. I think any three.js markup language/dom implementation could definitely draw some inspiration from the way SVG does it.

Anyways, thanks for the help, and this is the last you’ll hear about these damn boxes from me here.
