Canvas flickers upon resizing (when react component re-renders)

Hi, I noticed this behavior and was wondering if anything can be done to avoid this. The code to reproduce is here.

Attached images are from my own project. I was trying to implement a "toggle fullscreen" and notice a consistent flicker when the get enlarged or minimized. And the codesandbox was meant to be a simple version of the same functionality.
