We spent many years refining frontend user interface frameworks for web/mobile media till we ended up with React.
VR/AR is just extending the medium into three dimensions and it’s natural that there will be new frameworks/tools used to build these 3D user interfaces.
Currently Unity is the most popular tool for developing AR/VR experiences, but I’ll say that building user interfaces with a tool like React is a far more enjoyable experience than building them with Unity.
I’m interested in what people think about this. Will VR/AR have its own “React”?
react-three-river seems like it’s the tool that VR/AR devs SHOULD be using.
