Of course! You can find the US labor market tightness for 1930–2024 in this CSV file: https://github.com/pmichaillat/feru/blob/main/figures/figure12.csv. The raw data and code used to construct tightness are available in this repository: https://github.com/pmichaillat/feru. There you can see how the raw data were processed and spliced to create the entire series. The procedure that we use to construct the tightness series is described in this paper: https://pascalmichaillat.org/13.pdf. The tightness series is plotted on figure 12. Please let me know if anything is unclear, and good luck with your project! |

Hi professor,
Could you point me in the right direction for a database that has the labor market tightness that covers years prior to 2000 in the US? I would love to look farther back and see if the strong relationship I presented today holds true for a longer duration. Thank you for your time
