Immigration and the labor market

There is a lot of work on the impact of immigration on the labor market.

• I have some recent work which summarizes the existing evidence and models the impact of a wave of immigration on unemployment.
• Card (1990) is a classical paper on immigration, which won Card the Nobel Prize, and which shows how to use natural experiments to answer economic questions.
• The NBER has many papers on immigration and unemployment. There might be some interesting recent work that can be a starting point for a research project.
