Just to share my use case; I've been using sway for a while. It was my first tiling window manager. Switched to hyprland recently for its fancier features such as animations. But I'm trying to adopt software implemented in safer languages. In particular I happen to know some Rust so a tiling WM made in Rust sounds 🏆 to me. More specifically I switched to Hyprland with the hy3 plugin because that's the paradigm I picked up from sway and at the very least I find it non-limiting but I'm not familiar with other tiling paradigms (see Hyprland's builtin master and dwindle layouts). From the description of pinnacle it sounds like it would support arbitrary layouts so I'm open minded about trying it. But I'm not sure when it will be ready for my daily driving. So I've subscribed to the GitHub releases hoping to be able to some day determine that it is time to try it out. Keep it up! |

👍 to this. I've been an xmonad user since 2009 and it's been frustrating to not have anything resembling it's capabilities on wayland for years, leaving me stuck on X. I'm so glad this project exists. |
