I like your project a lot.

Particularly that you can make a config and let it install without intervention of the user.

I have tried several installations.

Sometimes yay and paru were installed sometimes packages were not installed

I did find that "yay paru" was not accepted and it wanted to install that package which resulted in an error.
I have put them on oneline.

Last try ended in creation of users.

Hello Erik,

Thanks for take time to test alis and make a video, and happy you liked alis.

I just added support for paru-bin and yay-bin as you suggested in the video. At the momment alis only allows specify a single PACKAGES_AUR_COMMAND but should be possible set as this to install yay-bin additionally if you want. This will install first paru-bin and latter paru will install yay-bin AUR package (or should).

PACKAGES_AUR_COMMAND="paru-bin !yay-bin !paru !yay !aurman"
PACKAGES_AUR_UTILITIES="yay-bin"

I think you should change this lines

The VirtualBox guest additions should be installed if the environment is a VirtualBox VM (if not something is not working as expected). What should be installed/added to support qemu?

This was the reason for bash-completion was not being installed in your test. Seems that on error fails silently, maybe I need to give a look at it.
The error message was from this line. As I said I fixed this so PACKAGES_AUR_COMMAND now accepts multiples values.

I did any testing, so Secure Boot can work unexpected, I do not have real hardware for testing.

I am guessing I have to put secure boot back on in the UEFI settings
Then maybe VB settings of secure boot might work.
Did not test on real metal?

I dont know how to test on a virtualized way, VirtualBox seems to have the Secure Boot/TPM option but I dont know how to enable it. I did not test on bare metal, test on bare metal is an option if virtualized way is not possible.

I have find the way to enable secure boot in VirtualBox, I will give a try. If not works I will give a try on bare metal laptop I have now at my disposition to test.

Only I need the scarce time.

Finally I was able to do a test with GNOME Boxes. Fixed a bug when configuring secure boot but still I think did not do a proper test booting with secure boot enabled on BIOS/EFI (not with VirtualBox, not with GNOME Boxes).

I was wondering why we need SSH - I see read lines after a while because of refusal in connection
vagrant is true and sshd is enabled and running

Why do we need it?
