Google Calendar >> Outlook causes header script to show #2145
-
Not sure if I am posting in the right place for troubleshooting, please let me know if I should post this elsewhere! When syncing Google Calendar meetings to Outlook, the Outlook meeting marker displays header scripts (not sure what it's called exactly) when viewed in Outlook. Attached a screenshot with it highlighted in yellow. Tried tinkering with OGCS settings but not sure what needs to change. Thanks in advance for the help! Also to add: Currently running Alpha release 2.11.5.0, although this issue has persisted in previous versions as well. I have also donated to the project to unlock all the settings as well. |

Hi @philipnguyen808 Guidance for reporting issues recommends raising a GitHub Issue, not a discussion, ensuring you are using the latest version and uploading your logfile to help with troubleshooting. However, I've managed to replicate this problem and confirmed it's a bug, so will raise an issue for it. |

Actually having looked into this and reminded myself, this is a shortcoming of the Outlook interop model as it only allows either plain text item bodies or RTF (rich text format) - behind the scenes it actually uses the Word HTML editor to convert and this isn't something I'm going to incorporate or try to emulate in OGCS.
However, OGCS v3 and syncing to a Microsoft cloud account (not via the Outlook classic desktop client), will natively support HTML.
