Limit Workout Downloads to Most Recent

I've searched for a solution but couldn't find anything. How can I limit the downloads to the most recent 2-3 workouts? Every time I run the program, it pulls every workout I've ever done. Thanks!!

In the Peloton Config section there is a setting for NumWorkoutsToDownload. Set this to a number, say 3, and it will download the 3 most recent workouts.

By default, if you don't have this value set, P2G should attempt to ask you to enter a number, or fallback to not downloading any workouts at all.

I currently have it set to 2, but it still downloads all workouts I've completed.

Well that certainly is odd. Your config file looks all correct. Do you mind changing this line "MinimumLevel": "Information", to be "MinimumLevel": "Debug", and running it again? And you if you could share the logfile output please. I'm not able to reproduce on my end so just trying to figure out whats different.

Good news, its not downloading all your workouts from Peloton each time.

But I can see why it looks that way, and something is still not working as intended based on the log output. I noticed at the end that it's failing to authenticate with Garmin:

Now in this scenario, where we fail to upload to Garmin, P2G intentionally saves the workout files locally with the goal to retry on the next run assuming it can communicate with Garmin again. That seems to be what's happening here, purely based on the logs.

Next two questions:

1. Are the workouts mentioned in the log file all already uploaded on Garmin Connect, or have they never successfully made it there?
2. Triple check your Garmin credentials are correct in the config file. If your password has any \ or ' in it, they may need to be escaped so that they are read correctly by P2G. There is an online validator tool you can use to help determine if this is the problem.

Looks like maybe I am hitting a similar problem after updating to the latest version today. Last time I updated was some time back in December and it was working fine till I updated today. I see the uploaded files in the syncHistory.json file but they don't clear out of the working folder after they have been uploaded. I verified they exist in the fit folder too. Looks like they try to upload the same file every time I restart the program. Interesting. Ok so in your case it did not download any new workouts. But because there were left over workouts from a previous run still in the download directory, it proceeded to re-convert those and attempt to upload to Garmin. This is identical to what was mentioned over on #211 .

I may not be able to investigate more till the weekend.

In the meantime, it is safe to manually delete any files lingering in respective output, working, or downloaded directories, which should prevent the duplicate upload attempts. Or roll back to the stable version
