Tab navigation "linearity"

I love the extension but I'm having a problem with the tab navigation shortcut. It happens that using "shift - j" or "shift - k" to navigate between tabs sometimes give me weird results. Instead of linearly going through my tabs, sometimes it just jumps to another random tab, sometimes even tabs opened in another workspace (I use Vivaldi). This is also true when I use the close shortcut (x), where instead of going to a logical, closer tab, it just jumps away to another tab that's not the immediate previous or next one.
I have searched everywhere I can about this problem, but couldn't find any trace of answer, or even someone with a similar problem.
