Regarding PhotonAPIServlet

Hi @phax ,

I am using phase4-peppol-server-webapp for the server setup. Has PhotonAPIServlet servletmapping in its web.xml

As my understanding /api* mapping is to receive the documents from the ERPs/end customers that are to be pushed to the other APs in our peppol network is this correct?
If yes can you share the /api endpoints used.

Well, if I remember correctly you are using the phase4-peppol-server-webapp as the basis.
In this module, class com.helger.phase4.peppol.server.api.Phase4API method initregisteres the supported API calls.

2.For my understanding the APIs in com.helger.phase4.peppol.server.api.Phase4API are used to send sbdh from this AP sever to other AP server right?, If wrong were will be the APIs to sent sbdh.

3.In this module (com.helger.phase4.peppol.server.api.Phase4API) where we will communicate with the SML and SMP server. I want to know where is the exact code.

Well, that will be too much to write here.
Let metry to summarize the basic actions.

Sending

• Class APIPostSendDocument is responsible for sending out a new AS4 document while creating a new SBDH. The steps are basically the ones defined in classPeppolUserMessageBuilder

  • Verify the payload, based on the parameters provided (optional)
  • Peppol SMP lookup via class SMPClientReadOnly
  • Wrap the payload in an SBDH (object PeppolSBDHData - method Phase4PeppolSender._createSBD)
  • Add the SBDH as an attachment onto the AS4 message
  • The actual message sending is triggered via AbstractAS4UserMessageBuilderMIMEPayload.mainSendMessage
  • The actual HTTP message sending is done in the BasicHttpPoster.sendGenericMessageWithRetries

• Class APIPostSendSBDH is responsible for sending out a prebuild SBDH. The steps are basically defined in PeppolUserMessageSBDHBuilder. Compared to the other builder, validation and SBDH building are not contained.

Receiving

• Receiving is done in class AS4Servlet on path /as4. It handles HTTP POST requests and parses them
• The servlet handles stuff via class AS4XServletHandler
• The actual SOAP/MIME message processing is done in class AS4RequestHandler - it's the "receiving technology independent handler" so that it works more generically
• Then there is a lot of internal action of parsing, decision making etc. and finally your implementation of the SPI (Java Service Provider Interface) IAS4IncomingMessageProcessorSPI is invoked.
  • For Peppol, this implementation is fixed via class Phase4PeppolServletMessageProcessorSPI and it invokes a different SPI IPhase4PeppolIncomingSBDHandlerSPI which provide a more Peppol-friendly API. This SPI needs to be implemented by you, to handle inbound Peppol messages
