APIv2 is coming. What do you want to change or add?

📢📢📢 We are planning to add a new version 2 of the Password Pusher API and need your input. 📢📢📢

At its core will be a cleaned up clone of version 1 plus a bunch of new features.

Here is a rough list of initial ideas:

• All requests are made to the /api/v2/ path
• Auth Bearer Token Support Only

/api/v2/version.json

This exists currently but will be expanded in V2 to:

• better identify the instance of Password Pusher that you are talking with (is it OSS, Premium, Pro, Other?)
• Determine enabled features and defaults such as:
  • Can files be attached?
  • QR codes are enabled?
  • URLs enabled?
  • default language
  • enabled language locales

All push related calls will go here:

• Creation
• Retrieve single pushes
• Retrieve active pushes
• Retrieve expired pushes
• Push notifications (send/resend?)
• Update individual pushes
• Retrieve the audit log
• Retrieve all audit logs for all pushes over the last 7 days (example)

/api/v2/requests.json

All requests related calls will go here.

• Creation
• Retrieve single requests
• Retrieve all [open,ready,closed] requests
• Request notifications (send/resend?)
• Update individual requests
• Retrieve the audit log
• Retrieve all audit logs for all requests over the last 7 days (example)

Other

• Need new unified API documentation portal (/api is ugly)
• Better Postman integration and updates
• There are whispers that an extensive password/passphrase generator will be in APIv2 as well

I will leave this discussion open for a while as a draft and to collect up community requests.

All input is welcome and we'd be happy to implement as many of the requests as feasibly possible.
