For Android, the app could just send notifications to a server and the watch could receive them over the internet. i do not know of a solution to this on iOS, but i don't know much about iOS generally; I understand that companion devices get notifications on iOS via a Bluetooth service Apple provides, and apps local to the device never get direct access to notification contents? |

Hi,
I believe pebble os would be a perfect OS to create a secondary device or what people are switching to nowadays like feature/dumb phones to. It would require LTE though. I think its not a impossible task to add drivers for LTE and make it work, but does Apple or Google allow third party providers to receive notifications, etc. via LTE/5G (and not Bluetooth)?
