What means by "NFC Quick Settings needs to use APIs not intended for third-party applications"?
As far as I understand it doesn't work with apps that don't have that API or what?
I just want to quick enable / disable nfc, because i use nfc only for contactless payment, I'm confused a little bit

What means by "NFC Quick Settings needs to use APIs not intended for third-party applications"?

It means:

1. Android does have built-in API's for turning NFC on and off programmatically, but these API's are intended to be used by phone manufacturers (eg Samsung, or Motorola), and not third-party apps like mine;
2. Android required apps to be granted special permission to use those APIs (as it should - you really don't want apps doing that without your permission)
3. Unfortunately, because Android (or rather Google) assumes no-one but manufacturers should be turning NFC on and off, Android does not currently provide a way for third party apps (like mine) to request that required permission.
4. However, you can, via adb, grant any app (such as mine) the required permission manually.

Of course, 3 and 4 would be irrelevant if the manufacturers (eg Google with Pixel phones) would just include the Quick Settings toggle themselves 🙄 But here we are.

So the situation today is:

1. if you grant the permission manually, then the NFC Quick Settings can simply toggle NFC on and off 🎉
2. but if not, then the NFC Quick Settings till will simply take you to the NFC settings page whenever you tap it (because there's literally nothing more that can be done without that extra permission).
