PDK Dev Call June 23rd 2025

Armin

• Cherry-picked more changes out of Replace Persister with SessionPersister for v2::Receiver #750 into smaller PRs.
• Opened PR Replace Persister with SessionPersister for v2 Sender #789 to bring up the sender side.
• Reviewed and requested changes for Add expected_weight field to InputPair #772.
• This week: plan to catch up on Liana PR reviews, respond to feedback on Replace Persister with SessionPersister for v2 Sender #789, resolve any blockers for 0.24 release.

Artur

• Continued work on the P2WSH input weight estimation Input weight prediction for P2WSH inputs #659. PR is still marked as draft due to failing tests.
• Armin and spacebear have provided feedback. Aiming to address comments and get it merged by the end of the week.
• Planning to submit a small PR to Liana master this week (?) Contents of this PR was not entirely clear
• Still figuring out how to compute worst-case satisfiability weight for inputs in Liana.
• Finalizing PSBTs with foreign inputs is still a hack (?); we currently has no clear finalization strategy and need to communicate our strategy with the Liana Devs.

Ben

• Resolving issues with UniFFI Dart-FFI bindings on Linux after it previously only worked on macOS.
• Building a minimal example exporting only PJ URI functionality to validate the pipeline end-to-end.
• No downstream integrations yet, but considering replacing existing Flutter bindings once the build is error-free.
• New session persistence work introduced additional test mutants. Looking into catching these in CI.

Dan

• Reviewed BDK-CLI and SEL receiver PRs.
• Needs to allocate more time for review work.
• Main focus is on operational tasks, when blocked will catch up on reviews.

Nothingmuch

• Prototyping the hybrid / low dependency directory model described here
• Drafting a PR to outline what this approach would look like.
• Also working on the privacy analytics project and progress on the multiparty construction.

Spacebear

• UniFFI Dart integration is progressing but slowly.
• Spent most of the time reviewing PRs.
• Needs to catch up on more PR review and resume Dart binding work.

Zele

• Responded to Spacebear’s review on FFI-related PRs.
• Looking for new tasks in the FFI domain.

Zealsham

• Started with rebasing open PRs this week. Clean up re-exports #746
• Hit a few issues with metrics collection. First pass misunderstood how the Prometheus Rust branch works.
• Now testing the implementation on a toy webserver before applying it to rust-payjoin.

Shehu

• Picked up issue UniFFI Namespace Hierarchy #723
• Running into failures during binding generation steps. Will communicate issues on the ticket and work towards a solution.

Efe

• Continuing to work on the BDK-cli integartion
• Addressing feedback on typestate documentation PR Update receiver typestate documentation for functions shared between v1 and v2 (and some InputPair documentation) #769 .
