Yes assuming it is moving the auger in response to temperature changes you can use esphome with pidclimate but the output would be "slow output" https://esphome.io/components/output/slow_pwm.html This uses on/off to simulate a slow pwm. You can also try the sigma delta output which has more smarts: https://esphome.io/components/output/sigma_delta_output |

Is there a way to use the ESPHome PID controller on an Auger motor (on/off) only? The requirement as I understand it is for some type of proportional control output. But Auger motors don't work that way.
The alternative is to code a PID controller from scratch, but it's complicated.
