[Feature Request] documenation for version upgrades

How can I migrate from one version to another. I know that pmdump is used for some migration. When I accidentially used a newer docker image, I messed up my database. It would be important to know what tasks and dependencies need to be considered for migrations.

Maybe also a support matrix for each version and the used external dependencies (like solr...).
