Feedback from the Cyberinfrastructure Alignment workshop in May 2025 included suggestions for Knowledge Hub content. Discuss this list below and create separate issues as relevant. Issues for content we decide to create now or later should go under parent #47.
Content for pages on the site
- "boilerplate" or example funding proposal language
- Crash courses/ TLDRs
- Quick guides (ie Jupyter notebooks) for pulling a bunch of Paleo data sources together in a common format (ie csv from APIs). Comment from us: Useful but likely to be both complex and brittle. On the other hand, I am interested in developing a Carpentries-style training for something similar to this. -AM
Resources to link out to
- 4 steps to publish samples from ESIP
- Links out to GBIF training materials
- SESAR
- iSamples
- cheatsheet style resources that help users quickly, e.g. from NASA Openscapes
- Resources that can be directly ingested into existing systems (e.g. a csv of valid values that can be imported into a CMS)
- links to other existing or nascent knowledge hubs for related communities in the "ecosystem" – e.g. LinkedEarth, DigitalCrust
- Verified links to KOS Resources (thesauri, glossaries, etc.) - to reduce the amount of time it takes someone to locate a particular resource and provide them assurance that the resources on the knowledge hub are reliable and high quality. There's a lot of unhelpful resources.
