I'm wondering how difficult would it be to add STP support to the bridge?

I accidentally caused a loop while testing the code out (and loop protection brought down the wrong port) :D and I think it would be a really nice addition to the bridge.

I don't believe the LAN87xx supports STP. If you have a chipset that does a PR would be awesome! KSZ8863 may support it.
I don't see anything for STP in ESP-IDF, byt maybe something like this could work: https://www.oryx-embedded.com/products/CycloneSTP.html

Hmm. I'll take a look at CycloneSTP, maybe it'll give me a few ideas how to (re)implement it in Rust. In theory it should be doable just in software, thanks!

By the way I got the bridge running on the LilyGo T-ETH-Lite, it only took two line changes. However I couldn't reach more than ~30Mbps throughput in either direction (though it is still sufficient in my case), even after a few sdkconfig.default changes to enable SPIRAM. I can't rule out it isn't just my environment which is why I didn't open a separate issue. Any chance you have any recommendations what to adjust in sdkconfig.defaults (or elsewhere)?

Other than what's already in sdkconfig.default I don't have any recommendations. I tested with a WT32-ETH01. I actually bought a T-ETH-Lite to test with but let's just say... I'm not too good at soldering...
