Edge clipping view option

When working with decals, it'd be nice to have a switch that displayed each edge of a selected face different colors depending on top/bottom/left/right, corresponding to the colors for those at the right of the editor. Hunting around for these can be a pain, and sometimes they switch around for no immediately obvious reason.
