Long Path Limitation

What is it that you want to do that isn't currently possible?
Currently bodyslide/outfit studio has a limitation when it comes to installation path name length of i think 260, same as windows if you didn't modify registry

Bodyslide wont work if path name is too long.
ex:
C:\Modding\Tools\New folder 1\New folder 2\New folder 3\New folder 4\New folder 5\New folder 6\New folder 7\New folder 8\New folder 9\New folder 10\BodySlide and Outfit Studio - v5.7.0 test\CalienteTools\BodySlide

Request the feature

• Support long file paths (windows 10 or above)
• Optionally, warn users when installation paths exceed safe limits or nearing it

I've played around with this and enabled long paths on my Windows 10 machine, but I think it's not as easy as I thought to enable support for it in the application.

It would require sanitation of all directory and file names and prepending a \\?\ prefix, as not all functions of the C++ runtime and Windows API support long paths without the prefix. With the prefix, wxWidgets (the UI framework) should work as well.

So it might be possible but requires heavy testing that I would rather have someone else do or do when I'm on Windows 11.
