Board area not displayed for work items

Describe the bug
The board area is just not displayed for some work items (User stories), but is displayed for Bugs.
Only affects a handful of users. There are no errors in dev console.
The same user on an entirely different PC/browser has the same issue, indicating it's something to do with the user account itself. Expanding and shrinking the area has no effect, just a blank display

Environment:

• Browser - Chrome, Edge, Firefox
• Azure Devops

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Open a UserStory type work item using the work item link (E.g https://dev.azure.com///_workitems/edit/55301
2. Check the board area

Expected behavior
The board area should be displayed

Additional context
An interesting thing to note: When using the preview feature "New Boards Hub" the problem does not occur

I've just figured out the cause.

If you close a work item with the board area minimised, then when you open up that type of work item the next time, expanding it again doesn't have any effect - it stays blank.

If you leave it expanded, close the work item, and then open again - it works, and continues to work until the next time you close a work item with it minimised.

I do have similar issue but solution provided didn't work for me. Close means closing the ticket or just window?

I tried to install this add-on. It said it's already installed but just after that Board started appearing again.
