Saint Lucia island country

In OSM data Saint Lucia exists as country (maritime borders) https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/550728 and as island https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/9274241 Both have the same wikidata and wikipedia tags. Unlike for example Malta (the country consists for more than one island).

Search for a state (admin_level=4) though also returns the island as top result

Can this be fixed with OSM changes or is it handled differently with other island countries?

Saint Lucia (the island) should not have any of the states in its address. That's a bug on Nominatim's side. Once this is fixed, the island will no longer be found when searching for "Canaries, St. Lucia".
