i dont see any pressure to ssd, ram, cpu, but so slow anyway

Is this a planet or Russia only? And I presume you have given the database a chance to warm up a bit?

Running search queries without the wikipedia/wikidata rankings is not recommended. In fact, in theory, it might result in slow queries because there is no prefiltering by importance.

To debug timing in detail, run the search with --format debug. This will give you exact timings for each step and give you a hint as to what is slow.

The query only needs 300ms. The remainder is startup time for Python, setting up the connection to the database, reading configuration etc. If you need throughput, either run Nominatim via the API or use it through the Nominatim library. Both allow to make lots of requests without the startup penalty.

i see 100-110ms request time with nominatim4.5 and 300-400 with mominatim5.

There are a thousand reasons why things might be slower. You haven't told us anything about your setup after all. If I have to take a wild guess: you need to run your setup with multiple guvicorn workers, not just multiple async threads.

i used default settings for all according documentation.
guvicorn in documentation start with 4 workers.
