I understand this is meaningful to you and maybe 1-4 other person that are using our project, but it's pretty weird to install an app for us which we don't use and is not open source. If you want to subscribe to the release, there could be plenty of other possible ways. First, watching this repo (custom watching and select release only) does the same thing. New release notification will be in your GitHub inbox, and forward to your primary email. Also, this allows you to use 3rd party tools to check your inbox/your mailbox and forward all release to another place that fits your needs. This is not required for us to integrate things like this to make users notified. I will leave it right now for you to check other ways to get you informed. If you insist, I would make a small vote for our team to see if VuePress shall accept these requests. |

I understand. I think we can possibly use tools like https://ifttt.com/ to do the same thing. I don't want to cause unnecessary problems for you, so if you don't feel comfortable doing it, it's fine. (This whole integration is very weird conceptually. Like, why would a repository need to install an app, so that github is able to send notifications. Like... this info is already on github...Anyway.) |

Describe the feature
Hi. Do you mind installing the Slack app on this Github repository?
I'm asking this in order to be able to setup notifications for new releases. With the slack app installed I can subscribe and be notified whenever you release a new version.
Could you do the same for the VuePress repo ? https://github.com/vuepress/core
