PreambleThe ecosystem team is a team on the @typst-community organization with triage and contributor access to some repositories, but most notably, with the final vote on whether an open RFC in this repo is accepted or not (as of the current RFC process draft). The current ecosystem team was created without a formal process, i.e. the members were not voted on in an open process. To ensure that the ecosystem team can meaningfully represent the Typst community, the current team has decided to hold a nomination process for new and old members. Additionally, you can also nominate other people regardless of your own agreement to your nomination or not, well keep this limited to pre-nominees for now. The nomination process will be open to all members of the Typst community. If you aren't already in the community forge on the Typst discord, we'd like you to join there for further discussion. If you already are a member, you're still considered a nominee for the new team, being a member will not transfer without the nomination process. ResponsibilitiesMembership in the ecosystem team would entail a number of responsibilities:
Pre-NominationThese are "pre-nominations" because this was done informally within the community discord, we'd like to first inquire who would like to actually be nominated from this list. If you think someone else would be better suited, feel free to suggest them later on in the nomination process. NominationOnce everyone has answered on whether they are ok with being pre-nominated, we'll have a starting point for the new ecosystem team. These people would then be officially nominated by the current team. The nomination process should be similar to the administrator nomination, with the difference that it would not be restricted to self-nominations. More on the process later, we'll probably discuss this in the community forge on the discord. New TeamOnce nomination finishes and the nominated members agree to joining the team, the team should be able to faithfully represent the community. At this point, RFCs can be accepted, denied or postponed by the new team. |

I agree to be nominated. For transparency I should note that I have been on a hiatus, due to personal reasons, since the beginning of the year and sporadically interacted with the Typst community. I will continue to be on hiatus until hopefully mid August and would very much like to get back to Typst dev stuff. |
