This was attempted before by others, see: https://www.reddit.com/r/typst/s/T1i6DsiwxF. Closing as we unfortunately can't pursue this further. |

TeX has its own SE site, so why not for typst?
From discussions on typst's Discord server, I know there's a typst Discourse, where questions come in the form of forum posts with replies.
That's a great way for the question asker to interact with the answerer.
However, when multiple answerers come and they post at the same time, then the discussion might be a bit mixed up.
In addition, for other readers, the final answer itself is more important than the discussion in the middle. The SE model could help learners focus on the answers.
Each platform has its pros and cons, and each user is free to choose what they want. By providing another channel, apart from providing them more choices, we're increasing the influence and popularity of typst. Hopefully, when more people start using it, more tutorials and packages would emerge, making learning much easier.
To propose a new SE site on Area 51, a reference to a community is needed. I hope that your organization can support this, so that future learners have one more platform to ask questions, and helpers and enthusiasts have another site to share their passion for this technology.
