We know that almost 100% of the software on the market that supports RDMA is charged. We think that with the development of AI, RDMA object storage is becoming more and more urgent for AI companies. We have put RDMA on our Todo list. We will have to see the subsequent development of this software and user needs before deciding the priority. |

Sorry for the noob question here, but isn't RDMA protocol support something for the OS and network card firmware to deal with it? I would like to understand why the application is the one that must support RDMA as I had thought the OS and kernel take care of it under the hood. |

RDMA can be a bit tricky, but here’s the gist: while the operating system and hardware do a lot of the heavy lifting to make RDMA possible, applications still need to support it to take advantage of its benefits. This is because RDMA skips the usual networking stack, so apps have to use specific APIs to tap into it.
