How should I remove unwanted entries from ilia Applications?

First, thanks for regolith, I'm sill living inside it after all these years and it's a delight! 🙇

When I use ilia to start programs, it's very convenient to type a few characters and then use the arrow keys and enter to pick a program.

However, for a few of the programs I commonly start (chrome, emacs) there end up being similar, but irrelevant, choices that always pop up near what I'm trying to select. It would be nice to just remove these irrelevant choices from ilia.

What's the best way to go about doing that? I think some of them are .desktop files from random snap and apt packages, and others I'm not really sure what they are.

Maybe ilia could maintain a 'block list', I could imagine hitting shift+delete or ctrl-delete or something on the items in the list I don't want to see any more. (:

So, I've just been rming .desktop files here and there - not even sure which packages they came from or what, but I've saved a few keystrokes and misfires when launching programs I use everyday, so, calling it a win.

I do think a way to configure ilia to ignore some entries would be rad, but not urgent or really that important.

Hi @harold , glad you found a solution to the issue and agree that it would be nice to provide an easy way to filter apps from selection. I will consider it in future work in ilia.
