docker version: 28.3.2
portainer version: 2.11.0
api: http://ip:9000/api/endpoints/2/docker/containers/create?name=container_name
api response info: empty
portainer log: http error: Unable to proxy the request via the Docker socket (err=context canceled)
What's the reason? How can it be called correctly?

@lizhuoxuan Can you please provide more details regarding your environment, are you using a reverse proxy?

My usage scenario is as follows: I invoke the Portainer API in a Jenkins pipeline to perform remote deployment. Portainer is installed on a Rocky 9 system without a reverse proxy. The process involves: logging in, ..., checking container information, modifying the image in the container information, and then recreating and starting a container. All other APIs work fine, but when creating a container, I use the POST method with the URL http://ip:9000/api/endpoints/2/docker/containers/create?name=container_name, and the body is in the same format as when clicking the "Deploy the container" button in the UI. However, the API returns an empty response, and the Portainer log shows the error: "Unable to proxy the request via the Docker socket (err=context canceled)".

I just noticed you are running a very old version of Portainer, can you please update and try again? I tested this call without issues.

Thanks for your help. I have found a solution. There is no problem when I call the container creation api using https://ip:9443. However, an error occurs using http://ip:9000.
