Our Stripe account is based in the US, where the fees are significantly higher than Europe, i.e. 2.9% + 0.3$: http://stripe.com/en-us/pricing
Our point-of-view is that simplifying Stripe is the greater value that we bring 🙂 We put great efforts in building a superior DX, so you don't have to spend hours understanding Stripe, listening dozens of webhooks and so forth. We're also a Merchant of Record: we take care of tax compliance (VAT, GST, etc.) for our all merchants worldwide. Stripe doesn't. In this market, we're ones of the cheapest. You can read more about what's a Merchant of Record and if you should choose us over Stripe (or other PSP) or not here: https://docs.polar.sh/merchant-of-record/introduction#what-is-a-merchant-of-record%3F |

Hello,
In the docs you say stripe charges 2.9% + 30cents.
But stripe actually charges 1.5% + 0.25cents
Your pricing is 4% + 40cents.
I would like to pay and use your platform, but for encapsulating and simplifying Stripe,I don't think it's a reasonable price paying that 2,5% + 20cents extra, which makes your service more expensive that Stripe itself that provides the greater value.
What's your point of view? Thanks!
