CS:GO sdk for CS 2

Hello everyone! I've been looking for a cybersport simulator for a long time, and now I've found it! I decided to try playing, but unfortunately, to work with cs 2, you need :CS GO. Probably, everyone, like me, does not have tools for developing assets for the game installed, so my solution:

1. download csgo_legacy
2. download files from the link (these are not viruses, this is the SDK)

3. throw it into the Counter-Strike Global Offensive folder
4. launch LIGA and start match
5. but unfortunately the match cannot be started

proposal for the project developer, you can put this SDK in this repository, or implement it into the game itself, if possible

Thanks for giving the app a try and sorry it's not working for you.

CS2 support was just recently added and is still very experimental. It needs the CS:GO SDK so that it can use vpk.exe to generate the needed VPKs to customize the bot config.

You should be able to download the CS:GO SDK that is already available within Steam. No need to download it from a google drive link.

Edit: Oh! It looks like the SDK is not available with the free version of CS:GO. So the SDK is not available for you in Steam to download?

yes, you are right, there is no way to download SDK for the free version, so I had to download "someone else's". that's why I decided to write.
don't apologize in any case! you couldn't know all the nuances, I'm just glad to help.
I think you just couldn't know about this problem, since you already have SDK installed from an old version of CS.

@ruzyqwerty yup, i do! interesting edge-case.

i am looking into alternatives, including baking in the vpk.exe into the app but I have to be careful regarding licensing as that is a Valve-built tool and they may not like me doing that.

as a temporary fix—if that google drive link has the vpk.exe inside of it, you can place it in /path/to/Steam/steamapps/common/Counter-Strike Global Offensive/bin and the app should work.

Hey I've filed #355 to remove the CS:GO SDK dependency by parsing and creating VPK files directly from within the app.

In the meantime, if that google drive link has the vpk.exe inside of it, place it in /path/to/Steam/steamapps/common/Counter-Strike Global Offensive/bin and the app should work.

@ruzyqwerty pushed a build yesterday that should fix your issue and not require the CS:GO sdk. I hope it works!
