Custom icons for navigation arrow

There should be a choice of different symbols for the navigation arrow (car, animals, bus, motorbike, lorry, etc.) which the user can select.

Personalisation of the app, which binds the user to the app.

However, you could also offer separate icons for the different navigation types (walking, driving, public transport), which the user can select. This would make it clear at first glance which type of navigation the user is currently travelling with.

The third aspect is accessibility or readability. If, for example, an icon with a blue arrow is not easily recognisable for a person, the user can simply select a different symbol or colour.

Of course, this is not a must, but I think customisable icons appeal to a target group. Anyone who does not want to customise it is not forced to do so and can use the app as normal.
