New Organic Maps on Android user here. Loving the app for quick point-to-point navigation and finding my current location for hiking use. It's pretty awkward dealing with multi-waypoint routes, though.
A scrollbar shows up in the list when too many waypoints to show at once are added, but it's impossible (or nearly so) to scroll the list without dragging a waypoint and reordering the list. Change the hit target for reordering waypoints to just be the waypoint icon, instead of the full item, so it's easier to scroll?
When the list is up, the map is dimmed and partially obscured, so it's difficult to correlate what you're doing to the list with the actual waypoints on the map. Especially difficult for intermediate points along hiking routes, which tend to be all named "Map Point".
As soon as I reorder points in the list, the icons/numbers are updated, but the map shows the previous icons/numbers. e.g., if I begin with "Start, 1, 2, 3, End", then drag 3 above 1, the map doesn't change, but the map's 1 and 3 points are now incorrectly labeled. If I need to reorder multiple points, it's easy to quickly get confused. The map should update its view of the points as they're reordered. If it's too slow to recalculate the route after each change, it can just dim the old route line until the list is closed.
A couple of days ago I was trying to plot out an ad hoc route that I had just hiked to see what mileage I had covered. Between the automatic route optimization (in terms of point order and trail selection), and the above issues with the Manage Route list, I quickly gave up in frustration.
