Nitrite/Java: Nitrate outside JVM

I am looking for some native databases that can run outside JVM. Can nitrateDB be compiled into a native binary running on any IoT device?

I have never tried compiling nitrite with GraalVM. Honestly nitrite was not developed keeping native in mind. But you can try and let me know here about it.
There are other native alternatives you can try - RocksDB, ObjectBox etc.

I have been exploring pocket base. Seems very promising and has a really small footprint. You can also make it run in cluster mode (Although it's mostly a community experiment at moment, the concept hasn't made it into the official documents yet)

There is also something similar in nitrite - datagate server. It is not stable yet and being revamped as part of 4.x branch development along with nitrite-flutter.
