Please, I need your kind help. Geocore version update / From Zurich

Dear Geocore Community,

I am writing to you from Zurich, Switzerland regarding the classified software Geocore from the
now defunct company Geodesic Solutions, LLC of Texas, USA.

My website uses GeoCore MAX Ver. 16.09.0, which is based on php5.5 and now I need to find
a way to update the software to use the newer versions of php 7 or 8.

When I was searching online for help, I came across your Geodesic Solutions Community Wiki -

I am completely desperate and need your kind help to get the Geodesic ( GeoCore MAX Ver. 16.09.0 ) updated.

The company that made the software has disappeared without warning and I have tried everything over the
last 4 years to contact Robert who was a very helpful person at Geodesic Solutions llc, but he
too is nowhere to be found.

My website tends to be very slow and my hosting provider gave me an ultimatum to either update my website to
latest php-version or they will terminate us. I was about to give up when I found the Geocore Community Wiki.
If there is anyone who could help, please reply.

I can't tell you how happy I am to have found you. I always had a good contact with the Geo Support Team and back then Robert was always helpful. I remember talking to him on the phone a few times. After the company disappeared, I was heartbroken because I couldn't do any updates etc. Please, Mr. Russel, extend my greetings to Rob and all the others. There are options available to you to upgrade the GeoCore platform, such as to the community edition found here, which was released to provide an immediate path forward for users such as yourself who ran into similar hurdles. You will not need to find/engage the original GeoDesic Solutions or their team members anymore.

Note that as this is a community supported edition, there is no regular support or update release track provided. Consideration should be given to ensure your website has the appropriate support to ensure the continued success of your endeavour.
