NextLS setup with already installed NextLS

I only want to use NextLS and I only want to use the executable available on my $PATH.
Setting nextls.cmd = "nextls" makes it such that my LspInfo looks like this:

can I make it not want to find the executable in the path that the project is opened but instead have it just take it from $PATH?

It also seems like it doesn't start and there's no option described to make it...
