⌛ Drag & Drop Makes WordPress less interesting

I have been using Wordpress since the days of Classic editor, and discovering Elementor was great. In my humble opinion, making wordpress like wix or like any drag and drop is making it less interesting to designers and developer of my accent. At least people still prefer the classic part, (you can see that from the number of classic editor downloads). For Elelemtor to go the way of drag and drop, I think it may make it more interesting. When something becomes too easy, the psychology of work or achievement may be eroded. my thoughts though.

I think I might be missing something. Are you suggesting Elementor should employ a Drag & Drop interface to the Editor? Or are you criticizing the usage of a Drag & Drop interface and workflow?

Can you explain why do you think it makes WordPress less interesting to designers and developers of your accent? What would your accent be exactly?

I would greatly appreciate if you could explain with a little more detail and context what you are talking about, to ensure I'm not misunderstanding your post.

What I mean is, the new editor (drag and drop) will make building websites with elementor less interesting, just like it did Wordpress on Gothenburg.

I'm not sure if you're familiar with Elementor or not, but it was always a Drag & Drop builder from the beginning. In fact the ease of use brought by the visual Drag & Drop interface of Elementor is what made it so popular and used by so many people. Gutenberg, Oxygen, Bricks, and so many other visual builders exists because of Elementor.

What Elementor is doing with the Editor V4 is to introduce more capabilities to the Editor by introducing a CSS Class based system with CSS Variables and other more granular controls that greatly improve the workflow of building websites.

What do you propose Elementor should be doing to address your needs?
