🚀 Graduating Dogebox into its own Org #2

I think the repository dogebox-order-page should be included, and shipper if we're keeping those two together. For the 'dogebox' repository, maybe 'dogeboxos' if it's going to have the releases attached to it? 'dogebox' as a suggestion for the org name too, just to keep things simple. Whole concept / seperate org idea seems fine to me. |

That can work 👍 |

That sounds good, I like the idea of a dogebox org and repos separate from dogeorg projects. |

I am going to propose we set up a new organisation for the Dogebox project to isolate it from the rest of the
dogeorg
projects that are happening. We've now got multiple foundation members contributing, and community members wanting to.At writing, this would be the following repositories:
In addition to moving them, I propose renaming
dogebox
repository tooperations
or something alike, as it currently contains all of our build/ops scripts for image creation. This would then let us create a
dogebox
repository for "catch-all" users. It would link to the various components, and provide somewhere for users to create issues, not tied to a specific code-repository, which is the issue we have now with no-catchall available. The proposed organisation was
dogebox-wg
, which I have reserved already and can migrate to if people are not opposed. This would also allow us to set-up top-level github discussions for both technical solution discussion, and community ideas to be discussed, without having it be confused with any of the other projects that might happen to exist in
dogeorg
.This would also include updating the landing of
dogeorg
readme to link out to the new org, and explaining how projects can graduate out.Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
