  • Platform.sh change: Randy no longer employee, Direct €3000/month for 2025 to DDEV Foundation, renewable. Trademarks and domain names transferred to DDEV Foundation. (blog)
  • A few key supporters have dropped back, including long-term $100 and $200/month supporters. A $500/month donor has announced that they'll be uncertain after April, 2025. (But we did have a new $100/month supporter this week!)
  • Long-term relationships aimed at new larger donors have gone silent, ghosting.
  • Current income situation: About $3000/month
  • Current bank balance about $8600.
  • Current expense strategy: Stas billed hours capped at $4000/month (80 hours), when he does more than that, he discounts to come out at $4000. Randy gets nothing from DDEV Foundation finances.
  • Proposed budget strategy: Stas cap remains same. Randy bills at same hourly rate ($50/hour) but discounts any hours that would bring the bank balance below $6000.
  • As income bounces back and Platform.sh support kicks in, gradually increase Stas cap higher if he's able to devote more time to DDEV.
  • (Stas' agency contract ended at end of 2024 also after 7 years! That may be good for DDEV as it may be an opportunity to move gradually toward him working full-time, but it almost certainly cramps his finances in the short term.)
