Should we create official @codefornorway.org email addresses for members?

I’ve been thinking about setting up official email addresses for our members under the @codefornorway.org domain — for example: daniel@codefornorway.org.

The idea is to:

• Improve professionalism and credibility when communicating externally
• Help with privacy and avoid exposing personal email addresses
• Create a more unified and trusted identity across platforms
• Separate Code for Norway work from personal inboxes

Before moving forward, I’d love to hear your thoughts:

• Would you find it useful to have a dedicated @codefornorway.org email?
• Do you think this would help with privacy or security concerns?
• Are there any potential downsides or technical concerns we should consider?
• Should these emails be optional or recommended for active members?

First of all, thank you so much for accepting my invitation and joining the organization.
Also, sorry for inviting you directly without giving any prior notice — I assumed the reasons might be somewhat predictable, but I’d still like to explain.

There are a few reasons why I reached out to you: I was already familiar with your work through your WooCommerce-related projects. As you know, I’m working on NuxtCommerce, I previously contributed to Scottyzen’s Woonuxt project, and I’ve been closely following your nuxtjs-woocommerce repo as well. I also explored your wp-algolia-woo-indexer plugin and found it really impressive.

On top of that, being one of the most active open source developers in Norway made you the first person who came to mind. It honestly means a lot to have you here, and I’d be really happy if you find this initiative worth being part of.
