Cannot Get the Debug Extension to work

I am trying to get the debug extension to work, but not having any success.

I have installed the requisite PTFs and also had Java 11 installed.

When I try to start SEP debug, I get a dialog pop up informing me that there's no certificate and asking if I would like to create one. ..

I choose the Setup option but nothing happens.

Can anyone help me get further please?

I've been tinkering and now I get the notification:

But I do have Java 11 installed on the machine and have set the JAVA_HOME environment variable correctly.

Hi @ewarwoowar-git , try looking at the doc about the debug service first: https://codefori.github.io/docs/developing/debug/#configuring--starting-the-service
Make sure Java 11 has been installed using its PTF and not through yum.
Then try generating the debug service using the Debugger view, as described in the documentation.

Already done all of that, thanks, but it still doesn't work, hence coming here in the hope of some help.

Now I think I know what needs to be done.

First, before connecting, right click on your connection and select "connect and reload settings".
It will take bit longer to connect. Once connected, go to the IBMi debugger view and run the "setup certificate" action. It should not complain about Java 11 anymore.

Sorry Sebastien - I didn't do the 'Connect and Reload Settings' option!

I've done that, and it appears to be up and running now - so thank you very much for your help.
