Using the cattr API: How to get a token

The API documentation states that the username+password based endpoint (https://demo.cattr.app/api/auth/login) is deprecated.
There is another token based endpoint (https://demo.cattr.app/api/auth/desktop-key)
Where do I find the token? I checked in the web app and desktop app and did not see the token anywhere.
Am I missing something here?
