Proposed Feature

Introduce an “Autofill Identity on Page Load” option in the Settings > Autofill > Autofill on page load menu.

As mentioned in the Community Forum:

“Auto-fill on page load” currently does not apply to Identities or Cards, only to Login items.

Example Use Case

1. User creates a Vault item of type “Identity” containing their name, address, phone, and email.
2. With "Autofill Identity on Page Load" enabled, Bitwarden immediately fills the form fields upon visiting a page where it detects these fields.

I initially thought autofilling identity info would be convenient, but thinking about it further, I realized it could be used by malicious sites without consent since it's not origin bound like passwords; requiring approval to fill identity info seems like a necessary safety measure.

I ended up adding a shortcut for the Autofill the last used identity for the current website Chrome setting described here.
