When trying to create a serverless API deployment for Llama models (any version) through Azure AI Foundry I get the following message:
I checked on the page for serverless API region availability here and the Llama models seem to only be available in Microsoft Managed Countries/Regions. My account is located in the Dominican Republic, are there any plans on making this available in other regions, including mine, or am I out of luck using Azure for this? |

Hi @yceron For MaaS Models as a Service Serverless API, Llama models for serverless API deployment through Azure AI Foundry are currently only available in Microsoft Managed Countries/Regions. Since your account is registered in the Dominican Republic, this might be why you're encountering the restriction. As for future availability, Microsoft hasn't publicly announced plans to expand support to additional regions, including the Dominican Republic. However, you can keep an eye on Azure AI Foundry's region support page for updates. If you're looking for alternatives, you might consider deploying Llama models using Azure AI Foundry's standard deployment options rather than the serverless API. |
